What you were given was never meant to stay with you

Most of what a person carries, a skill, a story, a way of listening to people in pain, was not built alone. Somebody taught it, paid for it, or simply gave the time it took to grow. A gift like that was never really a possession. It was a loan, meant to move.

This is the whole reason Sherwood exists. Not to sell what a congregation has to offer, but to help it reach the people it was meant for. Money should never be the reason a good thing stays locked inside one person.

The Small Catechism says it plainly: everything we have comes from God, “purely out of fatherly, divine goodness and mercy, without any merit or worthiness in me.” If it was given that way, it makes sense to pass it on the same way.
